Overview: Explanation of this Survey
Disclaimer
This survey is meant to not be taken that seriously, as in this survey statistics should not be used to determine your relationship/friendship. An example is using it that you and your partner should not get married because you are using my survey results that stated that you and your partner’s MBTI types are not compatible. Dating/friendship relationships are more than just MBTI typings and should not be used to tell you whether your relationship will work out or not. Any MBTI pairing can work as long as two people put the effort into the relationship.
Participants Overview
My survey has gathered a total of 225 participants which is the most participants I have ever gathered in a survey. This is my first time creating a survey that is not related to a class and I am rather surprised. Thank you to everyone for participating. I have shared my survey on a couple of Discord servers whether they are typology related or not in hopes to gather some participants. The survey has been divided into the PDB app and Reddit too which is where I believe got me the most participants since I was able to send my survey to a very large group of people.
Data Inaccuracy
I have realized while writing this report that a lot of my participants have been confused at the “Please select the MBTI of the people closest to your social circle (this can be close friends, best friends, and romantic partner)?” question which is related to the questions that consists of “Does anyone of your close social circle meet the golden/silver/bronze pair theory?” due to the fact that many people will say no or yes inaccurately in the “Does anyone of your close social circle meet the golden/silver/bronze pair theory?” and the people in their social circle when either does not show up as the MBTI type that they do/do not know. Thus, this leads to some inaccuracy of “Does anyone of your close social circle meet the golden/silver/bronze pair theory?” and “Please select the MBTI of the people closest to your social circle (this can be close friends, best friends, and romantic partner)?” overview tables. Perhaps most participants meant that they saw the “Does anyone of your close social circle meet the golden/silver/bronze pair theory?” question as if they liked that specific pairing theory or not rather than if there was someone of that pair in their social circle. The overview social circle might be lower than the actual data compared to each 16 individual tables. The overview of the gold/silver/bronze pair theory tables may just be higher or lower in some percentages compared to every 16 individual tables.
Hypothesis
The hypothesis I evaluated for this survey consisted of whether or not people think their gold/silver/bronze pairings were accurate or not, what MBTI types people actually consider to be the best pairings for them, and whether people think sensors and intuitives get along or not. Descriptive statistics were summarized in Tables 1 to 8. Statistical analyses were managed using a calculator, Google Forms, and Google Sheets. There were 2 participants that would be excluded from being discussed in this report due to the fact that it is either inappropriate or the way they answered my survey may make reporting more difficult.
Patterns
Thinkers generally seem to like their close counterparts of feeling verison of them, compared to feelers liking thinkers (ex. ESTPs like ESFPs due to 45% of ESTPs choosing ESFPs but only 11% ESFPs chose ESTPs)
