Option 1: Yes, I enjoy speculating even if it is in no way applicable to reality.

This answer would indicate that you are an intuitive type. This could highly suggest that you are a Ni or Ne user. You enjoy thinking or wondering about how theories could be applicable or could work.

Option 2: No, I may (or may not) enjoy observing and/or listening, but I usually don't participate.

This answer would indicate that you are a sensor type. This could highly suggest that you are a Si or Se user. While sensors may mostly not enjoy theorizing, it is possible that a sensor when developing their Ne/Ni stacking to enjoy theories. As an ESFJ, I enjoy hearing what possibilities are available with my tertiary Ne function.
