Short and Simple ways to explain Cognitive Functions
Si = wanting stability, uses past sensory experience to find more predicability and to avoid regrets, analyzes based on practical experience and choose the future based on what has worked in the past.
Meme language: omg I need to gather as much reality based info to avoid stress
Se = wanting novelty, uses sensory experience to experience something new, and to enjoy life. Meme language: fuck it, we ball, let's have fun
Se #2 - Very present function, focused on the here and now. They love novelty and new experiences. They love to have adventures and “feel” new experiences.
(Pe doms) can be commonly impulsive at times.
Ni = wanting stability, uses past theoretical experience to find more predictability to avoid regrets, analyzes based on patterns, and considers what past experiences could make a pattern in the future.
Meme language: omg I need to gather as much information from the past and analyze what pattern I could come up with
Ni #2 - Search for the possibility, out of all options. Uses experience to make patterns in the future. Thinks about the future a lot.
Ne = desiring novelty, uses theoretical (in the head) experiences to find something new to experience and enjoy life mentally.
Ne #2 - similar to Se in desiring novelty, except it is very future-oriented/“in the head” oriented. Generates new ideas and explores all of the possibilities. Ne doms may be fickle and can be seen as “unpredictable” because they are in their own mind, whereas Se doms are more “obvious”.
Fe - creates value from groups. They feel the need to externalize their feelings. Their values are other people’s values. They naturally and easily adapt to other folks’ feelings. This function is highly valued in modern society.
Ti - internal thinking system. They use their own internal logic to determine what is true, what logically works for them, and what doesn’t. Statistically, it is commonly considered suitable for those who enjoy puzzles and have this function in their stacking.
